help friends

i have been so frustrated lately by not bein able to sell my wares very easily...pictures, descriptions, pricing....sometimes it takes longer than the creation itself...if i do sell them, i seldom get what they're worth...it's hard to "show" textile art w/out people being able to hold them n feel them...

so maybe a show....they always looks soooooo fun when i see them on other peoples blogs n such...i have always wanted to "do a show"...but i have never been able to find one close enough to drive in a day...do any of my artist friends out there know of any...we live right outside of huntsville alabama...just a thought

i am going to finish covering some antique books today...they have been sitting in a basket w/ their cloth for about a year...i want to use the basket so alas i must evict it's inhabitants....i also want to make a couple a penny rugs today...i heart wool!! BUT *insert whiney voice, ugly face n flopping around here* i have  a mountain (not washington state size but most definitely alabama size) of clean sheets n quilts to fold before i get @ what i reeeeally want to do so farewell for now....

etsy n baby cousins

i decided after much urging from friends to give etsy a try..i have been selling on ebay for about...mmmm 6 years r so...i love the idea of selling on a site where all the items are handmade r vintage...i have always been afraid my little sock dolls n stitcherys will get lost in the shuffle among....well....everything n anything you can imagine...so i did it...i listed 6 items last night n one already sold! my baby cousin in georgia bought it...she coulda had it for free but it sure did boost my self confidence! :)

ok i have (since i have been heavy) told by maaaany that i favor kathy bates...while for years i have cringed @ the thought wanting to look more like oh lets say sandra bullock, who by the way is a year OLDER than me, after a recent comparison n the usual following rant, mrs pack looked up some pics and i have decided to ...embrace the things that make me look like her waaaay prettier, younger thinner baby sister...

and besides....if shes in a movie she'a almost aaaalways my favorite character :)
